In such cases, we must not exercise patience and wait to Vote the bums out in 2012 or even as soon as 2010! We should do that when the time comes, yes. But in the meantime, to allow our state governments to wait until the usurpers are removed from office through elections would be to consent to a dangerous dereliction of their duty to protect our constitutional rights.

The following brief dialogue ist based on a conversation a lawstudent and friend of mine had with a superior on entering the police service:

“Could you please sign here that I briefed you, and that you received your weapon and your badge?”
The young lady reads the sheet and pauses.
“But licenciado, it says here I´ll be paid 4.850 pesos a month. Didn´t you just say something about 20.000?”
The man looks at her. “So what exactly is it that you didn´t get? I give you your weapon and your badge. You take care of the rest.”
