Video: Killer women prepare for U.S. debut
You may remember “Mujeres Asesinas” from this article last year by The Times’ Reed Johnson:
Think of it as ” Desperate Housewives” – make that very desperate – with butcher knives, vials of poison and bottles of hydrochloric acid. Or an extremely stressed-out “Lipstick Jungle.”
Well, the blood-soaked drama, which has been a big hit in parts of Latin America, is about to hit U.S. TV screens, and the first episode of the first series goes out April 23 on Univision.
The second series of the television drama about the horrific revenge of women scorned is currently filming in Mexico, so we headed down to the set to spend some time with the actors and to ask what they think “Mujeres Asesinas” says about Mexican society.

Heh, no I agree with the point of the article (and posted it to my own blog and facebook, and having conversations about things over there) it is just that this story was made up, so not true in the sense that Mr. Ellis was either lying, or assumed his readers would know that he could not possibly have talked to Davy Crockett (except in a cemetary).
